Families of the doctors who died because of the coronavirus will receive 2.7 million rubles each

The decree applies to doctors, nurses and paramedics, as well as to ambulance drivers who work directly with those who have a coronavirus, or with patients who are suspected to have an infection.

In case of death of a medical officer because of the coronavirus, relatives will receive a lump sum payment of 2.7 million rubles. Those doctors or ambulance drivers who received a disability in connection with the transferred COVID-19 will be paid from 680 thousand to 2 million rubles. In case of temporary disability, they will receive 68 thousand rubles.

Recall that earlier the head of state established special payments to doctors fighting a pandemic.

“For doctors directly working with patients with coronavirus infection, this surcharge will amount to 80 thousand rubles a month,” the president said.

Also in Moscow, student interns who will be attracted to treat patients with coronavirus will be paid 70 thousand rubles. Students in the junior position of nurse will be paid 115 thousand rubles, and students-nurses will be paid 175 thousand rubles.

It should be noted that 110 thousand doctors and 40 thousand students were involved in the fight against the pandemic in Russia. Also, some museum workers "on a voluntary basis" were obliged to help in the work of medical institutions. In case of refusal, they face dismissal.

To date, 165 929 cases of COVID-19 have been identified in Russia.
