Residents of the Chelyabinsk region died trying to free birds from fishing nets.

According to the Miass fire and rescue team, the tragedy occurred in the village of Mirny on July 6. Local residents noticed the bodies of two men in the waters of the lake. The dead were entangled in fishing nets.

“According to eyewitnesses, local residents saw two swans entangled in fishing nets from the shore. One of the men rushed into the water to help the birds, but got confused himself. Another man hurried to him, but, unfortunately, he also could not get out of the water.

The police are investigating the man's death.
