By a decision of the court of the Sverdlovsk region of Krasnoyarsk, businessman Anatoly Bykov was sentenced to 13 years in prison in the case of organizing a double murder in 1994.

The prosecutor, who initially asked for more than 15 years of imprisonment for Bykov, does not intend to appeal the judge's verdict, and the defense does not agree with the verdict.

Lawyer Alexei Prokhorov told RIA Novosti that the defenders will appeal within the ten days established by law.

"We will file initial appeals to stake out the appeal deadline. And then, in addition, we will submit as we become familiar with the protocols of the court sessions", - said Prokhorov.

It should be reminded that the court began considering Bykov's case on April 22, but due to the lawyer's illness, the consideration was postponed to May 4. Then Prokhorov said that the case would be heard on May 11 behind closed doors without the press and spectators. On August 31, a jury found the businessman guilty of organizing a double murder.

Earlier, investigators checked the businessman for involvement in another crime - incitement to murder. After he had just been released from the pre-trial detention center, Bykov was again detained.
