The State Duma is preparing a bill according to which the tax on professional income will be zeroed if the income of a self-employed does not exceed the subsistence level. The bill is planned to be submitted to the lower house in the autumn session.

The authors of the innovation were the State Duma deputies from the Fair Russia party.

“My colleagues and I want to propose zeroing the tax on professional income if the income from the activities of a self-employed does not exceed the subsistence level”, - said deputy head of the party in parliament, MP Aleksey Chepa.

He pointed out that the self-employed needs funds, first of all, in order for him to develop his own business. And if he just started working, his income is small. Therefore, the parliamentarian is sure, it is necessary to provide appropriate benefits so that the business can get on its feet, and the self-employed has the opportunity to earn more, and then pay tax to the budget.

Let us recall that one hundred special tax regime - tax on professional income - has been in effect in the country since last year. Thus, it was possible to bring out of the shadow the income of citizens of 130 billion rubles, but not all entrepreneurs have moved into the legal field. So far in Russia, only 5% of the self-employed have declared themselves.
