Education Minister instructed universities to conduct final exams online
The Ministry of Science and Higher Education of Russia decided to conduct final and course exams online.
The corresponding order of the head of the department Valery Falkov is published on the website of the department.
According to the document, universities are instructed to provide "students passing intermediate certification and state final certification for relevant educational programs using e-learning and distance learning technologies."
The order extends distance learning in universities after May 12. Those universities that are not subordinate to the ministry received recommendations to establish a similar regime of work.
Recall that earlier the Ministry of Education recommended that the Russian regions complete the school year in the ninth and eleventh grades by June 5, and tenths by May 30.
In addition, State Duma deputy Oleg Smolin called for the cancellation of the USE this year in connection with the coronavirus pandemic. According to the parliamentarian, the transfer of the exam will repeat the Soviet experience - this is not bad for university students, but for schoolchildren this situation will become a serious problem.
