"Sofa" opposition angrily condemned Chulpan Khamatova for obtaining residence permit in Latvia

The publicist Nikolay Podosokorsky was glad for the famous actress, founder of the Gift of Life charity foundation Chulpan Khamatova: “May everything be fine with her, despite the network haters and spiteful critics!”

Recall that Khamatova bought a plot of land in Latvia and received a residence permit in this country, which caused violent indignation in social networks. The actress explained her act as follows:

“Many talented people were forced to leave there, not having the opportunity here (in Russia) to simply grow in their own profession or somehow succeed in it”.

However, she was immediately reminded of the old video in support of Putin, and the statement about North Korea, which she made in an interview with Sobchak back in 2012:

“I don’t want revolutions. Categorically, because innocent heads will fly into the revolution and into all these wars. I think this is wrong. No revolutions. Do everything that is possible, but to prevent this from happening. At both sides. (…) I would choose North Korea. I don't want sacrifices. It means that some tactics, some experience, some wisdom are lacking for people who are against this regime..."

The indignant seemed to have forgotten the much later actions of Khamatova, including the fact that in March and April of this year she signed open letters demanding immediate medical assistance to Alexei Navalny and creating normal conditions for him in the colony:

“We, people of helping professions, are convinced that the well-being and security of society is possible only in a state committed to the principles of humanism and the rule of law. (...)Providing assistance for the sake of saving lives and preserving health is a humanitarian duty of any state and community..."

More than once, the actress defended other prisoners, including the historian Yuri Dmitriev, the defendants in the "Moscow case" and the case of the Seventh Studio... massively violated every conceivable requirement of the law..."

The publicist frankly stated that he saw nothing wrong with the purchase of Khamatova's land in Latvia and with her obtaining a residence permit.

"And, of course, I would really not want the wonderful actress Khamatova to be forced to emigrate from a country where she does a lot of useful and meaningful things both in the field of culture and in the field of charity..."

However, Podosokorsky's admonitions did not go to the future of his numerous readers (and this publication was read by about 5 thousand people). Khamatova's persecutors, hardly having such a high-profile track record of good deeds, were adamant: guilty!

- Lying through and through! Traitor to Russia!

- I praised North Korea, but I bought the land in Latvia. H - hypocrisy.

- Well, yes, land is not for sale in North Korea, and in Russia, too. A true patriot. She signed the letter not with a demand to release it, but to keep it in conditions. For North Korea alone, these are normal conditions.

- A very funny claim. As a profession, she in Russia, you see, cannot grow! Let her try to grow up in a profession in Latvia. Otherwise, they prefer to grow in their profession and earn money in Russia, and real estate in Latvia. Just like officials, no difference.

Fortunately, there were also normal people who, however, unfortunately, were in the minority, which once again testifies to the sad state of Russian society. And yet:

- For me, the signatures on the letter in defense of Navalny and the imprisoned historian Dmitriev nullified the bad that she had done before (video in support of Putin). I don’t understand why it’s not so for others. This is real repentance - to atone for your past sinful deeds with good, virtuous actions.

- People, why are you so angry? Now you have the opportunity to buy a house in Europe, wouldn't you buy it? Would you buy it in the Saransk region, where did Depardieu escape from? As for opportunism, no one can know the true reasons for these performances. Have you been to hospices, have you seen the eyes of mothers whose children are doomed, or can they survive if they have money? What are you speaking about? Did you immerse yourself in the problems of infant death the way Chulpan did?
