AvtoVAZ will produce a crossover based on Lada Vesta

In an interview with RIA Novosti, he indicated that the concern will start developing new products after the new strategy is approved.

"First, on the basis of our domestic AvtoVAZ platform Vesta, and here our aspirations - I will reveal secrets in small strokes - will be directed towards crossovers", - Sokolov shared, adding that that lineup is by far the most in demand among buyers.

He clarified that the company has the opportunity to refine the Vesta model in order to produce a crossover on its basis.

It's worth reminding that now the Lada brand is represented by Vesta, Xray, Largus, Granta and Niva models. During the past year, the concern's total sales amounted to 360.7 thousand cars.

As it became known earlier, the concern also plans to resume production of the three-door SUV Lada Niva Legend. The first will be the Classic'22 version, the cost of which will be reduced.
