Winemakers are increasingly using Bag in box packaging for wine (hermetically sealed package in a cardboard box), which has now become the most promising on the Russian market. Roskachestvo indicated that wine producers will supply products to shops and restaurants in such packaging even more often.

“According to experts, the main types of soft packaging on the market are liter tetrapak bags (and their analogues) – 40.7% of still wine production, as well as two and three-liter Bag in boxes", - the agency said.

At the end of last year, wines in classic glass containers accounted for slightly less than 57% of still wine production (carbon-free wines) in the country. The remaining volume is divided between flexible packaging and cans - its market share does not exceed 0.5% . According to experts, the share of Bag in box packaging has a "moderate growth trend", despite the fact that it is now about 1.8%.

Earlier, Deputy Prime Minister Victoria Abramchenko said that Russian manufacturers have begun an experiment to create a Russian analogue of Tetra Pak packaging. The increase in Russian production will be carried out simultaneously with the testing of domestic paints for the use of foreign technology.
