The court arrested the Primorsky deputy Artyom Samsonov, suspected of pedophilia

This was reported to Vostok Media by the senior assistant to the head of the Investigation Department of the RF IC for the Primorsky Territory, Colonel of Justice Aurora Rimskaya.

Samsonov was detained on November 17. He is suspected of an offense under the article on sexual assault against a person known to be under the age of 14. After the arrest, he went on a hunger strike.

Samsonov's lawyers insisted on a preventive measure for him, not related to detention. However, the court ruled otherwise.

The regional branch of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation called the criminal prosecution of Samsonov politically motivated, indicating that it was about the events of 2018.
