A medical ball was held in Moscow at the height of the pandemic

According to RIA Novosti, the ball was charitable. The organizers promised to donate the funds collected during the event to doctors who have suffered during the fight against coronavirus.

“The ball was held on the day of the medical worker, which is celebrated on the third Sunday of June”, - notes the Dozhd TV channel.

In total, about 400 medical workers were invited to the ball, organized at the Stanislavsky Moscow Academic Musical Theater. A symphony orchestra, famous ballet dancers and opera singers also took part in it.

To get to the ball, the invitees had to provide a negative PCR test or a certificate of at least one vaccination against coronavirus.

The mass event took place against the backdrop of a sharp rise in the incidence of coronavirus. On June 20, 8.3 thousand people fell ill in Moscow. For several days in a row, records have been recorded in the capital for the number of infections with covid.

According to the decision of the capital's authorities, the work of catering at night is limited until June 29, food courts and children's playrooms are closed in shopping centers, and mass events of more than 1000 people are prohibited.

Earlier, the authorities of the capital banned Muscovites under the threat of gigantic fines to sit on benches in parks and squares. After a wave of indignation, the "penalty for the benches" hastened to cancel.
