The authorities of the Irkutsk region have introduced a state of emergency in the freezing village

According to RIA Novosti with reference to the data of the governor of the Angara region, Igor Kobzev, the incident occurred in the village of Artemovsky in the north of the Irkutsk region.

“I keep under control the situation that is developing in the village of Artyomovsky, Bodaibo district. There were breaks in the water line. Because of this, 13 houses in which 64 people live, including 8 children, were left without heating. An emergency regime was introduced in the village, ”the agency quoted Kobzev as saying.

Emergency teams are working in the village, whose task is to restore water supply and carry out repairs in the affected apartments as soon as possible. Temporary accommodation centers are being prepared for residents of freezing houses.

Repair work is complicated by weather conditions: frosts in the region are below 40 degrees.

Earlier, a similar incident occurred in Kostroma, where streets in several districts of the city were flooded with hot water at once. Because of this, the temperature in the surrounding houses dropped sharply. The mayor's office promises to eliminate the consequences of the accident by December 1. Residents, dissatisfied with the timing of the elimination of accidents, staged a photo contest on social networks.
