The mayor of Ust-Kut spoke about how the officials asked him to hush up the case with the arson of the forest
The mayor of Ust-Kut of the Irkutsk region, Alexander Dushin, said that the first deputy head of the district, who, along with other representatives of the district administration had been detained the day before, suggested he “agree.”
We recall that on Tuesday, law enforcement authorities reported that 200 kilometers from Ust-Kut, local residents detained officials who arrived by boat in the taiga. With them were gas canisters. Officials are suspected of setting fire to the forest. The farmland where the incident happened belongs to Dushin.
- It (the first deputy head of the district, Mihail Bars) tried to agree with me that this whole thing hush - the mayor said in an interview with TV channel REN TV.
According to him, their meeting with officials took place at night.
“At night we went to their boat, offered to spend the night in the house, fed them, they refused,” the mayor said, and added that Barca “seemed to be turned upside down.” Officials refused help even in the morning, says Dushin.
A video was published earlier, the authors of which claim to have caught arsonists in the act. On the record, Mikhail Bars, the head of the agricultural department of the district administration, Mikhail Tyshkivsky, press secretary Ekaterina Anisimova and an employee of the emergency department Sergey Ulyanov.
