And in order to provide guaranteed protection against Ukrainian "Baypaktars", 2 times more anti-aircraft systems are needed.

To ensure effective protection of the territories of the unrecognized republics from the Bayraktar TB2-type drones in service with the Armed Forces of Ukraine, at least ten Pantsir-S complexes will be required. According to experts, only under this condition can cover be created for the main lines of the collision.

Russian anti-aircraft missile systems "Pantsir-S" performed well in Syria and Libya, where the calculation of these anti-aircraft systems had to repel attacks by Turkish UAVs. Even if the DPR and LPR have these complexes (which is unlikely), the republic's militias do not have the necessary skills to use these modern air defense systems.

Recently, the Ukrainian armed forces announced the beginning of the combat use of the Bayraktar TB2 UAV in the Donbass zone. Judging by one of the drone attacks, the militias do not yet have effective means of countering such drones. It is known that "Bayraktars" are equipped with electronic suppression systems and attack from a distance of 7-8 kilometers, reports Avia.pro.

As the new Ukrainian Minister of Defense Alexei Reznikov (formerly a member of the trilateral contact group on Donbass) stated, the Ukrainian armed forces will continue to carry out drone strikes against the unrecognized republics.

According to Reznikov, it is the Russians who are prohibited from using drones over Ukrainian soil. And the servicemen of Ukraine are on their land and they have Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles. The order to use the UAV has already been issued.

So far, only one case of a strike with the "Bayraktar TB2" drone has been officially recognized. According to unofficial data, there were already three such cases. Usually, Turkish-made drones, which are in service with the Armed Forces of Ukraine, are used to adjust the fire of large-caliber artillery. In this case, the drones remain at a distance of 7-10 km from the attacked targets.
