Russian military strikes on the territory of Ukraine prevent the “pumping” of the republic with weapons from NATO countries. This was stated by Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.

According to the minister, the Russian army strikes only on the Ukrainian infrastructure "which provides the combat potential of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, nationalist battalions".

“Strikes are delivered with high-precision weapons. Energy facilities are also being disabled, on which the functioning of the Armed Forces of Ukraine depends and on which the delivery of a huge amount of weapons depends, with which the West is pumping Ukraine to kill Russians”, - Kommersant quoted Lavrov as saying.

Lavrov added that Moscow does not believe in the interest of the West in peace talks around the Ukrainian conflict. Such an opinion was formed by representatives of the Russian Foreign Ministry after the statements of one of the European politicians about the need to supply Ukraine with especially long-range weapons that can hit objects "deep in Russia".

Massive shelling of Ukraine's critical energy infrastructure facilities began in response to the blowing up of the Crimean bridge, in which the Russian security forces accused representatives of the Ukrainian special services. After a series of shelling in Ukraine, there were almost no undamaged power plants left, 11 regions of the country were left without electricity. On this occasion, Kyiv demanded to convene a meeting of the UN Security Council. Representative of the Russian Federation Vasily Nebenzya said that the strikes on Ukrainian energy facilities are in response to "pumping Western weapons".
