Yerevan is ready to negotiate a ceasefire in the unrecognized Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR) with the mediation of the OSCE Minsk Group, the Armenian Foreign Ministry said.

"While this aggression against Nagorno Karabakh will continue to receive strong response, we are ready to cooperate with the co-chair countries of the OSCE Minsk Group for the restoration of the cease-fire regime on the basis of agreements 1994-1995", - it said in a statement the Foreign Ministry.

It should be noted that the co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group are the Russian Federation, France and the United States. The day before, the leaders of these states - Vladimir Putin, Emmanuel Macron and Donald Trump - issued a joint statement regarding the armed conflict in Karabakh. They called on the Armenian and Azeri sides to end the fighting by sitting down with the assistance of the Minsk group at the negotiating table "without putting forward additional conditions".

It should be reminded that on September 27 the fighting between Armenia and Azerbaijan resumed. Martial law has been introduced in both countries. Both states blamed each other for offensive attacks on civilians. Azerbaijan announced the seizure of strategic heights in Karabakh. The Armenian side indicated that Baku "launched an offensive" in the Karabakh direction.

Yesterday it became known that several correspondents from Russia, France and Armenia came under fire while covering this armed conflict.
