Lebanon demanded the arrest of two Russian citizens in the case of the explosion in Beirut

The Lebanese government has asked Interpol for an international arrest warrant for two Russian citizens, the Lebanese National News Agency reported.

The publication says that on October 1, judge Fadi Sawvan transferred the case to the state prosecutor's office. She, in turn, turned to Interpol with a request to arrest the owner of the ship Rhosus, on which the saltpeter was delivered, and the captain.

let us recall, that the explosion in the port of the Lebanese capital took place on 4 August. About two hundred people died and thousands were injured. The damage to the city is estimated at $ 3-5 billion. On August 5, mourning for the victims was declared.

The captain of the ship Boris Prokoshev later said that saltpeter itself could not explode, for this an external reason was needed - a spark, arson, etc.
