Zelensky called the amount needed to restore Ukraine

The amount of costs for the revival of the country that Ukraine will need after the completion of the military special operation of the Russian Federation, Zelensky announced at a summit of leaders organized by The Wall Street Journal.

“According to Zelensky, Ukraine will recover quickly, and will provide attractive conditions for foreign investors,” Forbes notes.

Zelensky said that he would provide foreign investors with access to the country's 40 million market.

“I am sure that after the victory we will do everything quickly enough, and Ukraine will be more beautiful than before,” Zelensky is quoted as saying.

Previously, World Bank experts believed that the damage from the military special operation in Ukraine would amount to $60 billion. This estimate was given without taking into account economic costs and included the costs of restoring destroyed buildings and structures. At the same time, the republic's authorities are convinced that hundreds of billions of dollars will be needed to restore the country's economy. Only to compensate for the losses of the economy, the work of which was disrupted by military operations, Ukraine needs $ 7 billion a month.

The military special operation of the Russian Federation continues on the territory of Ukraine since February 24. Over the past two months, according to the UN, more than 3,000 civilians have died on the territory of the republic, more than 5.5 million refugees have left the country. The infrastructure of many settlements was destroyed.

Western countries offered Ukraine military assistance and imposed sanctions against Russia in connection with the conduct of hostilities on the territory of Ukraine. In the United States, they proposed to send Russian money frozen in the accounts of American banks as part of the imposed sanctions to restore Ukraine.
