Car sales in the UK in April increased by almost 3200% compared to the same month in 2020, amounting to 141.6 thousand vehicles. Such data were published by the Society of Manufacturers and Dealers of Great Britain (SMMT) on Wednesday.

The opening of car dealerships also had a positive impact on sales in April this year - they opened on April 12. At the same time, auto sales for the month remain 13% below the average level in 2010-2019, Kommersant reports.
