The speaker of the Armenian parliament, Ararat Mirzoyan, had to be hospitalized after he was beaten by protesters in Yerevan. After the decision to end hostilities in Karabakh was signed, protests began in the Armenian capital.

"Ararat Mirzoyan was hospitalized. Has injuries. Fortunately, there is no threat to life”, - Interfax quotes the head of the Armenian Prime Minister’s Administration Eduard Aghajanyan.

On his Facebook, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan wrote that Mirzoyan was being operated on.

Earlier it was reported that protesters in Yerevan seized the government building. The protesters beat the speaker of the National Assembly Ararat Mirzoyan. The intruders were looking for Pashinyan, but he was not in the building.

Hundreds of people gathered outside the government building. They shouted curses at the prime minister, as well as former presidents of the country Robert Kocharian and Serzh Sargasyan, and the phrase "we will not give it up!"

Let us recall that on November 10, Russian President Vladimir Putin, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan signed an agreement to end hostilities on the territory of Nagorno-Karabakh. The agreement provides for the introduction of Russian peacekeepers and the transfer of part of the territory of Nagorno-Karabakh, including the city of Shushi, to Azerbaijan.
