NYT: the explosion at the Iranian nuclear facility was staged by Israel

Now, citing sources in the American administration, The New York Times reports that Israel has staged an explosion at the nuclear facility in Natanz, where the incident took place.

The source of the publication indicates that they still know about the incident from "fragmentary" data. The newspaper notes that the power outage at the Natanz facility was the result of a "carefully planned explosion." The intelligence services of the United States and Israel clarified that "Israel played a role in this".

The newspaper's interlocutors pointed out that the "powerful explosion" led to the destruction of the "well-protected internal energy system" that provided the operation of underground centrifuges that enrich uranium.

Sources also noted that the explosion dealt "a serious blow to Iran's ability to enrich uranium". At least nine months must elapse before normal operation is restored at the facility.

Israeli officials declined to respond to the Wall Street Journal's request for involvement in what happened in Iran.
