The Frenchman, who arranged a shootout with the gendarmes at night, was found dead

The night accident took place in the small town of Puy-de-Dome. The suspect's wife called the gendarmes. When they arrived at the scene, they saw that the victim of domestic violence was trying to hide from her pursuer on the roof of the house. When the gendarmes tried to approach the house, the deranged suspect opened fire on them. He killed three of them, wounded the fourth, after which he set fire to his house and fled from the scene.

It is noted that the injured resident of France was saved. The suspect's house was extinguished only by morning. There was no risk of fire spreading to neighboring buildings, but the house itself was completely burned down.

After the incident in the suburbs of Saint-Just, French President Emmanuel Macron expressed his condolences to the families of the victims. “They are our heroes. They intervened to rescue a woman victim of domestic violence in Puy-de-Dôme. To protect us, our forces act at the risk of their own lives”, - he wrote on his Twitter.
