The Armenian opposition, which after the signing of the armistice on Nagorno-Karabakh demands the resignation of “traitorous prime minister” Nikol Pashinyan, announced on Thursday the beginning of a sit-down protest outside the government building.

Before the protest rally on Thursday, demonstrators pelted the building with eggs.

During the march on December 24, protesters walked from the government building to the building of the Prosecutor General's Office, Interfax writes. The sit-down protest at the government building was announced by Gegham Manukyan's Dashnaktsutyun party.

Protests in Armenia began after the signing of an armistice with Azerbaijan on November 10. According to it, four regions of the territory of Nagorno-Karabakh, the war for which broke out at the end of September, is returned to Azerbaijan. In addition, Azerbaijan reserves the lands that it managed to recapture during the armed confrontation. In Armenia, the signed agreement is called treacherous. The opposition does not agree with the surrender of Armenia in this war and demands the resignation of Pashinyan, who signed such a treacherous agreement. Pashinyan himself states that if he had not agreed to a truce on November 10, the next day the Armenian military would have been surrounded.
