Denmark reveals gas leaks along the Nord Stream route

In the exclusive economic zone of Denmark, northeast of the island of Bornholm, a gas leak was discovered in the place where the Nord Stream route passes. A 5 mile no-go zone was set up around the leak area for shipping.

On the eve of Nord Stream 2 AG, the operator of Nord Stream 2, reported a sharp drop in pressure from 300 to 7 bar. The situation was described as an emergency. The company notified the coast services of Germany, Denmark, Sweden, Finland and Russia about the incident. The circumstances of the incident are being clarified, an investigation has been launched.
At the same time, the Danish Maritime Authority reported that a gas leak occurred near the island of Bornholm. They considered the situation dangerous for navigation.
