Over 90 people were victims of the fall of the bridge in the state of Gujarat in India, in the city of Morvi. About 500 people were on the bridge at the time of the collapse.

According to NDTV, referring to local residents, there are many women and children among the dead. Currently, 17 people are hospitalized.

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that the country's authorities are taking responsibility for the tragedy. The bridge fell four days after it was reopened after repairs.

The authorities said they would pay the relatives of the victims 2 million rupees ($24,000) and 50,000 rupees ($600) to the victims.

A video of the bridge collapse has been released. More than a hundred people are still missing.
