Amendments

The State Duma Committee on State Construction and Legislation supported amendments to the Administrative Code and the Criminal Code, providing for tougher penalties for discrediting volunteers and other participants in a special operation up to 15 years in prison and fines up to 5 million rubles.

The Ministry of Justice has published a draft of new internal regulations of pre-trial detention centers and correctional institutions. Among the innovations, it is proposed to remove restrictions on visiting prisoners, suspects and accused by their children.
