The appearance of the first "fire tornado" prompted the US National Weather Service (NWS) to warn local residents about an "extremely dangerous natural phenomenon".

According to NWS meteorologists, residents should stay away from dangerous areas where fire tornadoes and strong gusts of wind are possible.

In 2018, the spread of fire tornadoes resulted in human casualties.

According to the San Francisco Chronicle, the danger of fire tornadoes may persist until Monday morning, and intense heat - until Wednesday night.

Wildfires that have erupted are raging in California, Oregon and Colorado. It has not yet been possible to extinguish them. The total area of fire reached 100 thousand acres.
