The corresponding order was published on the website of the Ukrainian leader.

In an appeal published on Zelensky’s Telegram channel, he recalled that, according to media reports, “Russia’s attack on Ukraine” is supposedly scheduled for February 16.

"We are told that February 16 will be the day of the attack. We will make it Unity Day. The corresponding decree has already been signed. On this day, we will hang out national flags, put on blue and yellow ribbons and show our unity to the whole world”, - Zelensky said.

He really ordered that on this day the national flag should be raised in all settlements. At 10:00 local time, the Ukrainian anthem will be played. Some "image events" will be held in foreign diplomatic institutions - they, according to Zelensky, will be aimed at "unity and support for Ukraine".

The government was instructed to speed up the creation of a territorial defense system, provide measures to prepare citizens for national resistance, and from March 1, to increase the salaries of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, border guards and aviation.

It was also instructed to create "on the basis of existing information resources of a single information platform "UAatonce" (UAtogether - editor's note)".

February 16, American intelligence calls the day of the beginning of the Russian military invasion of Ukraine. But the EU and the UK do not agree with this opinion.

Earlier, the Ukrainian media wrote that against the backdrop of reports of the outbreak of war, the country's richest residents began to leave the country en masse. Zelensky urged them to come back.

It should be noted that in anticipation of an imminent war between Russia and Ukraine, more than a dozen Western countries recommended that their citizens leave Kiev and began evacuating the families of embassy workers, and a number of airlines stopped flights over the territory of Ukraine for security purposes.
